It is a place which developed in the course of the fight where the bull makes his home. It does not usually show at once, but develops in his brain as the fight goes on. In this place, he feels that he has his back against the wall and in his querencia, he is inestimably more dangerous and almost impossible to kill.” In bullfighting, the bull will always find a certain part of the ring where he feels a sense of security; a place where he can gain strength, a safety. And what is safety if it does not grant you the space necessary to survive?

Posted @withrepost • @arspoetica.us Agapē is an Ancient Greek word referring to love, the highest form of love/charity. One that is rooted in selflessness and embraces a universal, unconditionality that transcends and persists in spite of circumstance. The word goes as far back as Homer, who translated it as affection, quite literally, as in “greet with affection” others have used the word to denote love of a spouse or family or affection for a particular activity, so on this Christmas Eve, we’d like to extend this sentiment to you all for simply being here. Wherever you are
