I was trying to calculate the best attractions to invest in. I tend not to invest money in this game, but I still liked to approximate how much if using the baseline currency exchange.

Disney Magic Kingdoms number crunching experiment with Goofy

Since I have been playing Disney Magic Kingdoms for a while now, I’ve been working on a few assumptions, so I decided to crunch some numbers to test my assumptions. See my OCD is attacking. It’s a vicious master. I worked with Goofy since I had him at maximum level and because he was also available when I was pulling data from the game.

Assumtion #1: If you can check often (every few minutes) you get better xp/resources per hour. Source of assumtion: When I crunched numbers for crops back when I was playing Farmville the shorter duration crops, if they could be checked often, offered better rewards than longer dwelling crops. These has since seemed aplicable to most city builder genre games I have played since.

Assumption #2: When the Incredibles event ends that the Incredible currency will convert to magic at a ratio of 1:1. Source: Just sounds logical as it would be easier on game designers when ending the event. Will check back after event ends to recalculate.

Assumption #3: Those requiring a second character are poor values. So I divided those requiring 2 characters by 2. Source: Sounds logical, but would need further calculations with the other character and what can be earned separtely vs together to fully support this.

Assumption #4: No quest advancement missions are present. Source: The quest advancement missions are valuable for advancing game play. While you may not get as much XP/Magic for certain quests the game issues, they are valuable for future unlocks and game advancement. I was just looking at for XP/Magic generation when no quests are pending.

Conclusions for Goofy:

Best Magic mission: Run in Panic (60 seconds)
Best XP mission: Run in Panic (60 seconds)
Best for bedtime (6-8 hours duration): Work as a Handyman (6 hours)

How this is affecting my gameplay? I’m continuing my current play style as this seems to be supported by calculations.

2014 My favorite iPhone apps

1. Audible

I need things to keep my brain active and off the subject of my life.

2. Pushover

This goes mostly with IFTTT. I can set up alerts such as the Full Moon. When I get an email that is “Important” according to Gmail (be sure to teach Gmail what isn’t important).

3. iOS apps Mail/Messages/Calendar/Reminders/Safari

I nearly live in these basic iOS apps.

Mail I have set up to sync with Gmail.

Calendar syncs with Google Calendar and the calendar on my Laptop.

Same with Reminders though I do have IFTTT set up to sync it with Remember the Milk.

4. Twitter

This is my communication method lots of time. I keep up with more friends here than I do Facebook.

5. Foursquare

If I ever go missing the cops can easily find where the last place I was.

6. IFTTT

I hate repetitive tasks, but I LOVE to keep archives. This does that and automates a few things for me.

7. Starbucks

I had been using this app quite a bit. I was addicted to my Carmel Apple Spice even though it doesn’t agree with my stomach. Apples have given me problems for years.

8. Mobile Banking app

This is how I usally check my bank account. I actually interact with my bank more this way than any other way.

9. Google+

I’m using this more than any other social site for promoting my iBooks.

11. Timehop

I like this app for seeing what was going on in my life on this day for previous years.

12. Waze

I travel a lot and don’t know where I’m going. So I find out what’s nearby by using the search embeded in Waze. Plus they know traffic because of the real time traffic updates from other users in the area.

13. Kindle

I love to read. However, moving with a large library every 3 to 6 months is prohibitive. So I have a Kindle, a Kindle app on my phone and a Kindle app on my iPad. I have my whole library down to about 3 lbs. A lot easier to pack up and move.

I’ve been using Waze quite a while now… I’ve been a bit of an editor on the rare occasion as well. I added the bypass in my hometown shortly after it was constructed. I’ve been with them through growing pains. Now I just hope Google lets them continue to grow & doesn’t end them like they have Google Reader (yes, I’m still kinda bitter about that shuttering next month).

Rogue’s Gallery Updated

I’m getting the urge to update about my World of Warcraft characters… Aka Book and the Library. I’ve done this quite a few times before.

First up is Book. You may notice if you go back through the old posts that she looks quite different now. She sort of got a big bonk on the head when she first arrived in Panderia and woke up looking like the locals. Since it helped her to blend in she left it be. Still specialized in Assassination with a minor in Combat.

Tatianaseray is now level 51. Fury & Prot. Still have a hard time leveling her though.

Bookocurses also looks a bit differently from my last post. She’s 86 now and a worgen. In Cataclysm all we needed was a worgen warlock to finish the guild achievement of all available races & classes at max level & honored with the guild. I had the level & rep so I paid for a race change. She’s going back Destro though with the changes to warlocks.

Bankbook resides at level 4 with major AH addons.

Booktrey now level 72. Hopefully before much longer I will have her leveled more. With the bonus XP from all her heirlooms. I’m leveling her as Prot same as Holy.

Shepardbook is up to level 90. She’s Disc/Shadow at the moment. Though I still dislike Shadow. I’ve got her up to Throne of Thunder LFR level gear. I’m going to really hate giving up that staff. It makes my Shadowfiend/Mindbender a tiny little Sha. I love it!!!!
